I'm buying myself a 2000 or 2001 or 2002 accord on my birthday which is coming up soon. I want to do strictly performance, the extent of body work would be like rims and a paint job. Body kit if i had 2000 bucks laying around. Anyway, I have done some reasearch and I know accords come in 4cyl and V6... so what is best for engine type? V6 with supercharger or turbo... or 4cyl with supercharger or turbo? I plan on doing some serious under-the-hood stuff but I have to know which of these will get me the most speed. I know comptech (www.comptechusa.com) sells supercharger kits for V6s... is that a good one to go with? What will get me the most speed without any other mods? Of course i will be doing other mods under the hood, i just wanna know about the supercharger/turbo, 4cyl/V6 scenario. Sorry if this sounds rambled... I'm a bit tired. Thanks.

 

you can do a lot more stuff with a 4 cylinder..and 5 speed is available for i4

I have a 99 v6 auto (of course) people always talk about how the tranny is poop and is locking up on peope and throwing the car into second gear while driving on the highway.

thanks for the info....IF ONLY I COULD AFFORD A 2004 V6 MANUAL! owell... with that note i guess im narrowing down to a 4 cyl 5speed... i definately like the idea of havning manual. so what are some good turbos for 4cyl? Im basically working on a 5000$ limit because by the time i have bought my car thats how much i will have left until my paychecks keep comin in.... (thank GOD my parents are gonna pay my insurance) im lookin to do serious performance mods... i mean like im not looking for 1/4 mile times of 15s adn 14s... im lookin for like low 13s and high 12s... if possible in any way low 12s high 11s... can i do this on 5000 bucks? so anyway... what is a good turbo? what do some of you guys have and how do you like it??
