Default Car starting problems, i think.

Well, sometimes, at random, when i go to start my car, i turn the key all the way and nothing at all happens as if my battery was completely drained. Then i turn the key back to the off position, it makes the sound acknowledging that the key is in, and then it'll start up just fine. Also when this happens my clocks reset. And sometimes my clocks reset w/o the starting problem. I'm thinkin that the battery may be goin? But i dont have a voltemeter at my immediate disposal to test it. Any other suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like a bad ignition Switch. I had one go bad, the car just cut off while i was driving . I had to hold the key to get home.

Hmmm I'll keep that in mind. How bout this one: I went outside just now, and I opened the door, and my check engine light, oil light and battery light all came on and they go away when i close it. And I tried to start the car and I get absolutely nothing. Battery?
Edit: Just went outside to check my starter connections, and i moved the one that plugs into the starter like speaker wires connect, and it broke. Gonna try to fix it now, hopefully i have some of these connectors lyin around .

Check all youre grounds to. Seem like you have some sort of a Electrical Problem. I would say its not the battery tho. But you should check all youre fuses and grounds.

Well, i fixxed the starter wire, and then examined the ground from the valve cover to the chassiss and it looked fine, but i reconnected it anyway, and the car works kinda fine. Still seems kinda weak though, like after the car sitting, the lights dont just click on, they kinda take a second to power up. I'm just gonna go through and redo all the grounds with new wires, and hope its not my battery or alternator.
