Horribly Creaking suspension! Any who have ES bushings?
Alright, the car is a 90 Si hatchback. I've had it for little over a year, and have added
ST rear sway bar
ES bushings kit (minus the steering bushing and shock top mounts)
Mugen Rear trailing arm bushings
This summer the car saw 8 auto-x's.
Since the second to last auto-x and last weekend's auto-x, the car has started to creak horribly. It creaks when braking, accelerating, cornering, and over bumps. It seems that when braking, when the car stops then settles itself is when I hear the most creaking. Rolling down my driveway and braking, allowing the car to rock back and then settle, the car will creak the most.
At first it seemed to come from only the rear, but I can hear it from the front. Also, the shocks are 100% stock originals from day 1, could they creak, or maybe the top shock mount bushings?
The only idea I have is that this what the ES bushings sound like in colder weather as well as the diminishing amount of grease since installing them.
Any ideas, or do the ES bushing creak that bad? (not squeekng, but creaking)

I didnt grease my bushings properly the first time and mine started to do this after a couple of days. After re-greasing properly their is no more creaking.

it's because you have a friggin' old p.o.s. car!
j/k. i have a 90 si hb and a 91 si hb.
the rear sound may be your st bar. lube it up. there is some play in the d-bracket brackets, so maybe try to make it so the bar goes straight thru the bushings.
the fronts, i'm betting is the radius rod bushings. what color are the es bushings you have? i didn't lube mine, but i 'heard' that the blacks are 'lubed.' did you put them in correctly? the machined surface faces out and the little raised ridge side faces each other to go in the crossmember hole. when those radius rods move up and down, it's binding, which i guess it's how it is supposed to allow movement. this could cause the squeak, but it's most likely that the nut holding it all on has backed off some. you should replace the nuts whenever you take them off. they take ALOT of abuse up front.

Take everything apart and lube the bushings with the really nasty black moly grease that comes in a tub. Even when my H3 car saw regular street use , never any creaks ever again.

I've been using Marine Grease (Castrol makes it in a tube, and can be found at most part stores), and it works awesome. It's still stuck to the bushings even after power washing the bottom of the chassis.
