Default aiming HID's..

hey guys i got a hella h4 hid kit in my ej1..bottom line is that i have adjusted these things by using the screws on the back of my oem usdm headlights..i have noticed that the headlight itself moves up down left and right..but i can't get them to sit level..does anybody have a better technique of aligning these things? my driver headlight aims alot higher then the pass..

You will not get it perfect. Just get it the best you can and hope for the best. Also you could just get a set of projectors

I thought they made HIDS illegal in NY if your car did not come with them from stock, since they are always stolen.

There should be 2 hot spots.. 1 for each headlight.. Is that what you can't get to line up?

I hope you are not talking about the GLARE.

You dont adjust your headlights with screws.. There should be BOLTS that you turn with a socket...

yea i believe i was using the bolts.not screw my bad..i was using whichever makes the actual housing move..and yes i do mean the hotspots..i can't get em even..here is a pic of my buried driver side headlight..and yet the driver side still has a much higher hotspot..if i'm about 20 feet from a wall the hotspot is about 5 feet higher then the pass..

unfortunatley - yoru OEM honda HDlites wherent designed fo rtha HID lights & as so they do not direct tha light properly across tha road -- Your best chances to get realy good results from your HID - is to either go w/ some RICE projectors - or make your own using yoru lites & projectors from a bmw/audi/who-ever & just custom mount tha lenses w/ in your OEM lites. This set up will give u a much more focused beam of light & the light beam will be much less scattered - Also the Cut off line that HIDs w/ Projectors Produce, looks relaly Ill @ nite.

good luck w/ everything

HERE is a pic of milo's EG w/ HIDs w/ some projectors.

HERE is a pic of Andres-eh2's EG w/ HIDs w/ just OEM lites, NO projectors.
