Suspension question
Hey, I don't know much about suspension stuff so I paid a place to do it. The other day my friend said that they didn't put the dust boot back on my shock after the install. I was wondering if this is bad?
Tokico shocks: warranty is voided if dust boot is not used.
I don't know how bad it is for the shocks if they are not used. I imagine excessive dirt on the shaft can cause the seals to fail sooner, but how much sooner? Dunno.

you definitely did waste money paying someone to put them in, suspension is the easiest part of the car, on my shocks, the directions specifically call for the dust boot saying that any scratch or nick, minor or major can cause the seals to leak around the shaft, eventually destroying the shock, i'd pull it off and put the boot back on ............protect your investment
Well i'm not sure if they are important or not but i think they are. Dirt and **** on the shaft can get jamed in their and ruin your seals. My friend has ground control coilovers and little rocks and **** allways get wedged in the threads and when he try's to adjust them he has a bitch of a time. I know thats not a shock but it just show's you that dirt and **** can get in weird places and cause problems.
