Oil change... no smoke, no nothing... Less than 2 quarts !!!
OMIG... yesterday scared the hell out of me.
After the car sitting for about 2 months, I get my parts and go to change my oil so I can crank the bish....I drain the oil and find that there was a little less than 2 quarts in the pan !!!
I did an oil change about 3200 miles before with fresh honda oil and filter... added 4.2 quarts as per the helms. I have noticed low oil levels in the pan about 2k miles later... I added about 3/4 quart and it looked topped up. The car doesn't smoke and NEVER leaves any oil in parking spots, etc. I do notice the left section where the headgasket is gets a mucky, dryish build up, but have noticed that on MANY other stock longblocks... so I figured it's not a big deal.
how could it burn off so much oil so quickly ??

That kind of oil loss reminds me of my engine. It turned out to be something to do with one of rings on the cylinders; it wasn't expanding to scrape the oil off the cylinder wall like it was supposed to and that oil got burned up. And yeah, it never smoked or leaked. Yay rebuilds.

I'd understand that... but she never spit out such little oil... every other change resulted in quite a bit of oil.... hmmmm
