You are litterally wasting your time by squirting juce out of the 1.5, it's an economical engine, if you want something, change intake manifold for MPFI first then a goog head work will be fine, port and polish, then get Crane Cam, and spring, and retainer, if you can afford it go with a 3 angle valve jobs!! but money is all what make us left behind no?
Gude = regrinds, and crap .....
Stick to Crane. Pricey, but worth it from what I've heard.

Dear Mista Bone:
Exactly which CRX Si (Year?) would be the source for the cam you suggest?
And, do you think it would be prudent to seek a used CRX Si cam or just purchase new?
Thanks,

88 CRX Si will require no cam gear
89-91 will require cam gear.
89-91 cams were ground with a different keyway location on the cam. It makes the 1/2 tooth off when installed in a 1.5L block/head setup.
I would buy a used cam for about $25 that had NOT be reground.
About Gude......
They will regrind you a cam (wears out quickly) and then when you send yours back as a core they will reject it and want you to pay shipping if you want it back.
Your cam will then be ground and sent to the next sucker.
