Help me adjust timing belt tension......pretty please??
So as I posted before....I'm getting a ticking noise from somewhere (I can't isolate the noise) so I'm going to adjust the tension on the belt. I know that I need to
a: remove valve cover and upper timing belt cover
b: rotate engine a few times and set TDC
c: loosen timing belt tensioner half a turn
d: rotate cam gear 3 teeth counter clock wise to take up slack
e: tighten tensioner bolt back to specs.
Is that it?
My question is this: where the hell is the tensioner bolt. Is there access from outside the lower TB cover? When I look down there, under the motor mount, I see what looks like a plug of some kind. Is it behind this? How do I pull it out, or do get acces from the top and inside the lower belt cover.
Pics would be GREATLY appreciated.
Also....is it cool to just leave the upper TB cover off?

well yea behind the plug..there should be a little tab to pull on or use a flat head and pop it off...... in terms of tightening it not to osure ..... let me kow when u find out .. .thasnsk !
Disregard the marked area cos I used that picture for something else... since that one is the closest to what you need here it is:
Now, do you see the drivers side motor mount (near the PS canister)...
Well that bolt is UNDER IT... YOU CANNOT MISS IT... Some covers have open bolt, some have some kind of "cover" that is easily removed...
