Need help with my damn break light..:(
I have 91 LX Accord Auto.
All the light bulbs are working fine but sometimes either only left light comes on or right light and the
one by the rear window comes on. It seems like right and the rear window light is wired together or something.
Here are some weird senarios:
1. When I start the car, the 'break lamp' light doesn't come on
until I step on the break or/and shift the gear to 'D4' or not until while I am driving for a while then the 'break lamp' light comes on.
2. So, when I pull over and put a stick on the break and open the trunk to play with the wire then the light that was out (depending on the light that is out) comes on.
3. Sometimes just by opening the trunk makes the light come on again.
4. And sometimes wiggling the light bulb unit makes the light come on.
As I said the light bulb looks good and the bulb unit looks clean.
Does anyone know what I need to fix this weird issue?

I had a similar problem on my '90 Accord when I took the lights out to replace the seals. I put it all back together, plugged it back in but neither worked!. What I found to get them working was to make sure the connected that goes to the 'brake lamp failure' control unit (located on each tail light) was pushed in good.... also a common problem on the 90 - 93 Accord, is the seals round the back lights. If they are bad, they leak when it rains and can corrode the terminals... make sure the pins are clean and not corroded. A problem on my accord was one of the pins in the plug had corroded so much it snapped off. I used a piece of foil to make the connection but mind you don't short any of the others if this is your problem.
Hope this helps
