Default looking for opinions on exhaust for LS

I am just looking for opinions on what exhaust sounds the best on a LS with no header. I want something deeper sounding, I would like to avoid the buzzy, raspy, fart like sound if at all possible. Thanks in advance.

cant go wrong with a magnaflow catback system for a ls
its complete stainless steel,2.25 inch I.D. no bottlenecks, and about 350.00 shipped on ebay, heres a pic of mine with the canister painted flat black, cause that thing just blinged way to much for my likings..

So you want an exhaust, but the car doesn't have a header/exhaust manifold? What are you going to attach the exhaust to then? Uhh.....

Anyway, I'm not flaming, but there are two things wrong with your question (besides the header thing I just mentioned).

1. What we think sounds best doesn't mean you think it sounds best. Everyone has a wide range of opinions here. It's similar to asking, "What rim/wheel should I get?" Those posts get locked all the time for the same reason.

2. Don't get the exhaust based on what other people said. You need to get it based on your own application. Do you need something with large diameter piping? Do you need a straight through exhaust canister? Do you need a chambered system for some backpressure? What are your goals for the car? High horsepower, high boost drag car? Something else? Let us know more.

there was a place where u could find some sound clips, but i like my N1 and its pretty deep, my car is pretty much stock, (no test pipe or hi-flow cat) so the exhaust is actually kinda quiet, which i do like.

"Do you need a chambered system for some backpressure?"

why would you want some back pressure?
least back pressure the better..

Not all the time, and like I said, it's dependent on your application.

what I did was buy a cheap-o one first. I got one for $40 off of syduck. its a "bomz" sounds ok, but what I wanted to find out was in real world driving how much attention, and damage would be done before I spent $400+ on a skunk2, N1 or whatever. My car isnt that low but I was scraping the stock exhaust. Once the Bomz was put on I didnt scrape at all.

If you want a really good exhaust that generates good power and also have a good sound it then i would recommend either the APEX WS II or the GREDDY EVO, those two exhaust never failed me on a stock setup for the time being.

I say the Greddy Evo. I have it, and I love the sound. To me it sounds better than most of the other exhausts on the market.

No, it's not buzzy at all. But I have stock header and cat. So, I don't know if that will make that much of a difference. But it never gets raspy, even right at redline. I really like it. It's a shame that I have to get rid of it for boost.

That exhaust is super loud. I don't think I could stand daily driving with it.

I'm still using my evo with boost. I would consider changing it if I had a 3" downpipe. Right now im 2.5" all the way through.
