I wasn't sure what exactly to search for regarding this so I'll just ask. I recently sold my 4wd wagon to my brother and he managed to seize up the engine what will I need to do to use a dx engine for its replacement. I figure I can just remove all the mpfi parts from the seized a6 and then put them on the dx motor I just need some guidance. Thanks for your help.

 

Pretty much you just have to switch the long block. (minus intake manifolds - you are correct in keeping all the mpfi parts to put on the DX motor) as the DX engine will bolt up to that transmission. Your brother probably won't be too happy with the out put of the DX motor.
