Default tranny problem or clutch problem?

I have a 2002 type S with 30k miles on it, yesterday It all started on the highway it was a total trafic jam and I stopped the car and couldn't get into any gear, 1st to reverse. I got the car home creeping, and slamming gears sinse that is the only way it wanted to get in and I got it home, I drove it around the block and it seemed fine, then I drove it to the bank and it started again can't shift into any gear. With the car off the trans shifts fine, but on the car on it will not shift out of neutral. If I start the car up with the car in gear the car shakes violently like a motor mount is broken (but it's not), but that's what it sounds like to me. And when I do start the car in gear I can't get it out. I'm not in a hurry to condem the trans and to me it seems like clutch related problem. any thoughts on this?

sounds like clutch. maybe master/slave cylinder leak or something. my accord had a similar symptom and it was the master cylinder.

there is this big petition on the web that you can sign for others that have had tranny problems like yourself. I came across this after I put my 6 speed in my EP3 (kinda worried me) Anyways, A lot of people with the new RSX have had the same thing you have had but Honda hasn't had a recall. But, I will try to find that petition for you because when they get all the peeps they need, then Honda has to do something.

try looking into getting a braided clutch line, your stock rubber line might be expanding or leaking

Just take it into the dealership.
I took mine if for the notorious notchyness and got a free clutch install out of it.
and yes, I do have a turbo and they didnt have problems warranting the dang thing.

on my 02 type s..i broke it once in feb 2004 and had it rebuilt by the dealer..it broke again in aug 2004 ..and i ended up buying a new tranny out of my pocket.

i do race my car at the local drag strips..never missshifted nor powershifted my car. due to all the wear and tear....the tranny just gave out. IMO these trannys are weak.
