Default HELP~ anyone know how to install a starter?

From 1-10 how hard is it to install a new starter, for my d15b8. does anyone know how or where i can get info on how to install a new starter. i was looking at it in my hatch and it looks like just a simple bolt on. is there any torque specifications or any things in particular or tips that i need to know while installing it?

NEED TO KNOW ASAP, because my cars getting messed up. ive been sitting there turning my key for 5 mins straight trying to start my car. i hear that drains ur battery too, true?

sorry to say. its about a 1

it is a simple bolt on. you dont have to torque it but you can. and it does drain the hell out of your battery cause if you look. that big cable going to your starter is the + cable that goes to the + terminal on the battery

yep its really easy. there are two bolts, not just one and usually when u buy a starter it will have instructions, but its really simple. just make sure you disconnect your battery while workin on it. you can get a starter from autozone with a lifetime warranty for $130, you just have to give them your bad one

1-10: We'll give this a 1.

You need to disconnect the thick wire leading the battery (held on by a nut). You need to disconnect the starter wire (thin wire with a push-on type connector). Then just remove the two bolts holding it against the tranny - pull it out, put the new one in. There are no shims to be concerned about (if you were thinking it might have used them).

Just like everyone said, bolt-on application. Shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes (it's a bit crowded in that area).
