Default Bad something(radio) .. help?

A radio question about my aftermarket cd player in my 94 civic coupe DX.

My radio(clock) comes on when my lights are on. They both turn off when my lights are off, even though my key is in the on position(with car off).

Now turn my car on and the clock works(not the radio), turn the lights on and now the radio works as-well. But when ever my radio works I stick a cd in and the radio goes on and off...By the way my clock can never keep the right time every time it goes off than on.

I checked fuses(all) and they are in good shape. My stock player worked(but not clock) before present install. Could it be a low battery, or alternator going bad? Is their a short somewhere?

Thanks a ton for info, James K.

P.S. I do notice sometimes I have to crank engine twice when starting car.

Got that Diagram already, and found out that with a 94 civic the wiring colors are WRONG. Well he got everything right except the colors for the stock connector are actually backwards. Took some think'n because of this and I switched the diagram(ignoreing the colors they gave for stock connector) and now my system works fine. Go figure!!

They where actually switched. I'm gonna e-mail them about this so others don't get mislead. So becareful when you get info from the site make sure you do what they say and if it doesn't work it might be that they got the colors wrong.
