DiamondRacing Wheels 13x9 fit over GSR brakes?
I have the DiamondRacing 13x9 wheels w/ 5.5" backspacing and need to know if they will fit over GSR brakes.
Even if they require spacers. I've read different things, need to confirm.

Are you saying that Civic EX rotors are the same size as GSR rotors???
13" Diamond wheels will not fit over GSR rotors. However, they WILL fit over Civic Si rotors... and Civic Si rotors are larger than Civic EX rotors.

The EX uses the 10.3 rotor and GSR caliper IIRC.
The EX uses the 10.3 rotor and GSR caliper IIRC.
99-00 Si's use that rotor and a different caliper. The EX's were under 10". The issue with fitment on 99-00 Civic Si's vs. Integras is in the caliper as far as I know. Shouldn't be a problem on any non-Si from 00 and earlier unless it's a goofy wheel.
i know for a fact that 96-00 civic ex and 99-00 civic si front brakes are exactly the same.
if you don't believe me, go to http://www.slhondaparts.com and check the part numbers yourself.
not sure about the gsr brakes though. i'm 75% sure they are larger than civic si/ex brakes.

That might be true, but the website you mention lists 3 front disc options for the EX.
It lists the identical part number for the DX, as well as the SI on the EX "page". So I guess we can take our pick?
What it looks to me like is that possibly the 4dr EX got bigger brakes?? I dunno. What I know for a fact is that I have seen Civic EX's with brakes exactly the same size as my DX, and that my DX discs are smaller than stock front discs I have seen on Si's.
But on the topic at hand:
To reiterate, 13" Diamond wheels will NOT clear GSR brakes. The only 13" wheels I have seen that will clear GSR brakes are Panasports ($cha-ching$).

GSR: 10.3"
99-00 Si: 10.3"
96-00 Civic, all excl Si: 9.5"
It's the facts, jack.
The clearance inconsistencies come from caliper differences, as far as I can tell. The rotor certainly isn't what hits the wheel anyway.

Diamondracing 13" wheels won't fit over the calipers of any '94+ Integra or '96+ Civic.
Why they don't make one that fits is beyond me because there were over 1.5 Million Civics sold in the US between '96 & '00 and about 1/4 Million Integras between '94 and '01.

i really didn't want to do this, but here we have a front rotor for my 1996 civic ex:

hmm that looks like :gasp: 10.3 inches!
i don't know where you got 9.5, but here is actual proof that the ex has 10.3" front rotors. not trying to be a dick, just getting the real facts straight.

Perhaps someone should compile a table of what cars/brake setups 13" Diamond Wheels will fit on...
One other thing to note - A 13" FWD center fits on my car ('89 Integra), but a 13" RWD center does not, without using a spacer; rim width and backspace being equal on the two wheels. My front rotors are 9.5", FWIW.

Well, they fit an 87 Civic with 87 Integra LS brakes, and same car with 91 Civic SI brakes. Also 92-95 Civic EX (Canadian EX that is, not sure what the USDM equivalent is) are the same as the 91 Civic SI.

Listen, I don't know what's going on here, but these are FACT:
- ALL Civic EXes, from 1990 through 2000, have 10.3" front rotors. No exceptions.
- '92-95 Civic EXes with ABS use the exact same caliper (617 pad) as '94-01 Integras (except R).
- '92-95 Civic EXes without ABS use a unique caliper (621 pad), but still have 10.3" rotors.
- '92-95 Civic Si without ABS has 9.5" front rotors (273 pad).
- '94-95 Civic Si with ABS has 10.3" front rotors and uses the Integra caliper (617 pad).
- Although '96-00 EX and '99-00 Si both have 10.3" front rotors, the calipers appear to be different based on the pads they take - EX uses a 764, while Si uses a 465.

I stand corrected, by everyone.
In that case, the GSR uses the same diameter front brakes as pretty much all Civic EX's, ever.
I got the 9.5" number from the DX, old Si, and other honduh front brakes.

ATTENTION:
1996-2000 Civic EX
1999-2000 Civic Si
1994-2001 Integra (all except Type-R)
ALL have same sized 10.3" front brake rotors. Yes, even GSR. same pads, same 10.3" rotors. Integra uses bigger piston on the caliper, but swappability in terms of bolting on is alright.
1996-2000 non EX models all use a 9.4" rotor setup, different pads. NOT interchangable.
VERIFIED BY A HELMS MANUAL.

96+ Civic EX uses the same rotor as the 99-00 Si, which is also the same as the non-R Integra's. Honda made a change late in 99 on the Si Caliper which makes matching brake pads a real problem.
I know - I sell parts for these cars for a living.
13" Panasport 3-piece wheels have been the only wheels I've found to clear the GSR fron brake.

What specifically did Honda change on the caliper? you saying the Civic EX and Civic Si do NOT share pads or calipers? My Helms manual says differently, says they are the same caliper, number 5410 on the back for all years, and it does not mention different pad, the same 10.5mm pad. Can you send me any more info?
What dimension is that 10.5mm supposed to specify? There are lots of numbers you could throw around that measure pad fitment, and as far as I can tell you'd need about 15 to accurately define a pad with dimensions.
I was once sent 96-00 EX pads for my Si and they didn't fit. The tabs were too big.

FWIW, Lenso 13x7's will also clear GSR brakes.
