Well just as it say my car keeps poping out of 5th gear. To my understanding its not really a common problem. Does anyone know what usually causes this?, and what king of repair imma need. I know my clutch or pressure plate is bad, and i already have a new clutch awaiting a flywheel before install.

 

I had that happen to my 91civic way back when..any how the guy that fix the problem tooled me it was my centroid's,man I hope I spelled that right.

 

i had that happen to me and the only problem i had was tranny fluid was low.

 

synchro's?

 

Cant be the Synchro because Synchros only helps you change gears, it has nothing to do with holding the gear

 

I've heard that it has to do with the forks being messed up. I've got a friend with the same problem on her EK, she has to hold it in 5th. Might wanna look into that.

 

yea i also heard the forks coud be a issue.

 

check trans fluid if it is low it will pop out of 5th gear

 

Seriously change your fluid. I'll almost guarantee it will fix the problem.

 

just added some like 3 weeks ago

 

check it again, happened twice with my eclipse and tranny fluid was bone dry both times.

 

how do you check the tranny fluid?

 

how do you tfix the fork problem???????
