'90 LS Integra Wiring Trouble. <------
+ If ya know a good deal about electrical, and think you
can offer some advice/ideas.. +
I'd like you to please direct your attention here. :D
Alright, here's the dilly-o so far as I can remember it..
Most of the wires have been gone through, and checked for current..
Most of them are good to go.
The cap/rotor/plugs/wires/coil/igniter unit have all been replaced..
And tested on other motors. status = working.
When we got this car, (90 4dr)
the people that had it ripped out the dash..
and went through a lot of stuff in the motor.. taped up things real bad.. ect..
So we went through and made the lines a bit more stable, replaced fuses ect (including the entire fuse box.. yeeesh)
And also tested them.
We've tried 3 ecu's in it.
Atleast 2? yeah, work in other vehicles.
The ecu gets power into it, but we're not reading anything coming back from it - if I remember correctly..
Supposedly, in the diagrams we've looked at, there's a ground that goes to the hrm.. radio.. because there's a wire there for filtering out static?
and the ground is connected to the distributor..
Is this sounding right to anyone?
I believe that's the only wire we haven't looked at. I'm not sure how easy it is to find..
But, bottom line is, there's no spark.
We really need some advice on this.
The poor car has been sitting too long now because we've kinda lost motivation...
That and there's been other cars with problems we've had to deal with as well.

The greatest answer to any question is, inevitably, "Your mom."
The cap/rotor/plugs/wires/coil/igniter unit have all been replaced
Fuel pump works I believe..
And there is power to the ECU, but the ECU isn't sending any power out.
Distributor ground does indeed run directly to the chasis.
=\
Oi, it's a jumble of frustration.
The continuity of the wires is pretty much sound save for coming from the ECU and the Distributor to wires/plugs.
When you turn the key, the dash lights all work..
It's been so long.. I need to go over there and look through it all again.
But it's something I desparately want to get solved! heh.
I'm not sure, but I thought the ECU just grounded everything. What are you looking at your wiring diagrams out of ?? which manual, hayne's, chilton, helms?
