Default Yet another searched ls/vtec question.

I pretty much searched how to put together a b18 ls/vtec with a b18b block and a b18 head. Now I was looking at getting a b16 head that is set up for ls/vtec. Is there anything more to having a b16 head and a b18 block?

Here's the link to the head:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

I tried to search this, but the only thread that came up was a flame and no help at all.

here is a kit that you must deff need
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=719412

but dont take no shortcuts
cause the result will dissapoint you

and for whoever says b18c flows better than the b11a or vice versa
please post some charts to prove it.
just that the b18c has a bigger combustion chamber that is true
and you know what that means to you...

I'm not sure but I have a 97 gsr. I messed up my head so I threw on a b16 head instead. My car flowed better and ran stronger. I heard the b16 would flow better though.

Thanks for the replys guys. I didn't think that there was anything I needed to worry about with a b18 block and b16 head.

I did find the ls/vtec page too. I made sure of it that I made it a fav on my computer. I just didn't find it until I had already searched this topic. That's whi I'm kind of skeptical on ls/vtec after I learned about the rod ratios.

gsr head def. does not flow better then b16...if that was the case the type r would have a gsr style head. on a flow chart the gsr head outflowed the b16 in the midrange but thats because of the secondaries...and i can guarantee most people that do lsvtec are not going to run a p72. the difference may only be marginal but every bit counts...and not bein a dick dont post information unless you are absolutley positive it is correct because it misleads people....have a nice day

the b16 does flow better, at least in top end anyway, i saw the flow charts somewhere, but the difference is COMPLETELY negligible, you would never notice in a million years.

True, but is it still worth the price?
