Yeah, this morning at around 8am, made an evasive action to avoid a truck who was making a left turn, and stopped in my lane... No pics yet, will have some asap.. Looks totalled, hopefully it isn't. Feel sorry for my guys..

Yep like everyone has said.. thankfully you're ok. The car can be replaced or hopefully fixed!

 

Basically, I was heading Northbound on a road by my house, going 30-35mph (35 is the speed limit), and I saw a van with his turn signal on to make a left turn, coming the opposite direction, which would mean he would have to cross my lane.. He was stopped though, so it looked like he would wait for me to pass to make the turn safely. Well he decided to start his turn when I was around 50-75 feet away from him. However, he did not complete it, he stopped so that he was partly in my lane, and in his. So instead of hitting him head on, I slammed on the brakes, swerved right, skidded on a slick part of the road, hit a big *** dead bush, go airborne, went sideways, and then came crashing down into the driveway of the home owner, who also happens to be one of my friends aunts... Police, fire, ambulance, parents came. I am ok, just slammed my head on the roof during the collision with the bush. Airbags DID NOT inflate... I am hoping it is not totalled, because if it is, I don't know what I'll be looking for next.

 

Hey, you're alive and that's all that matters...and on a positive note when you are done settling with the insurance company there are a few itr owners that are selling their cars, so you should be able to replace the car without any problems

 

I know exactly the feeling you are describing...it's positively dreadful, you feel like "where am I gonna go from here?" It's silly but you really feel lost...

Ross, you got the feeling down to a tee. That is exactly what I am feeling. All the tiem I have spent babying my car more than anything, and investing money into it. It just killed me to see my Spoon rim pushed up and back into the car.

Man, Chris i am sorry to hear the bad news, at least ur alive and well, actually prob not well w/o the R but everything will work out in the end. I really do think R's have some bad karma goin around.

damnit, every week it seems like we lose another one to theft/wrecks....R's seem to be pretty good cars for keeping the passengers safe. Ive only heard of three R's having fatalities.

Sorry to hear your lost, I remember just a few days back you were posting about getting cams or a turbo and other stuff. Totally unexpected. Forreals though, at least youre okay. The cars gone that sucks for you, if it were the other way around that would affect your fam and everyone you knew.

 

It really is maddening when you pamper, cuddle, and caress your car to keep it looking and running right, then that all can go away in a millisecond. Helps to keep things in perspective

That really sucks. As stated, all that matters is that you're okay. The R can always be replaced.
