I feel kinda stupid for asking, but... I tried to remove my shift **** on my car, but.... when I twist it, the boot twists with it and it wont come off.... How do I take it off?

more than likely you will need to pull the boot down and off the bottom of the ****.......probably just held on by a clip of sorts.
