Default M&H Racemaster vs DOT street slicks

Back in May I ordered a Lenso VPD / M&H 22x8x13" combo but I have not received it by now. I thought about using M&H DOT street slicks instead of there regular drag slicks because we have an event here in Denmark every year where the fastest street car is found in different classes. This year I won my class with some small 15" street slicks but next year I will aim for better times.

I would like to know what time difference there are between using the true M&H slicks and the DOT model. There are only 5-6 drag events here but at the other events you are allowed to use regular slicks. I just need to know if I need two set of slicks....
It will be used on my CRX with a 220-230 whp NA B20VTEC.

Thanks

Hi CRXEE8; If you are comparing the M&H 8/22-13 slick to the P205/60-13 = 7.5/22.8-13 it will be close. The M&H Dot has a stiffer sidewall and will not allow the the sidewall to flex like the slick. It will be better then a DR for sure.

GOOD LUCK CRXEE8.

Thanks Marie.... I'm talking about the new M&H DOT slicks that are much better than regular drag radials.

Btw. very cool to see a girl drag race

Thanks for the great reply
Yes it's those models I'm talking about. Could you give me an estimate about what the time difference would be? When I get my engine done I will look at low 12's I think.

Thanks

his slicks are great I mean I pulled off a 1.7 with out any special suspenion and no traction arms. They work well and just liek marie said practice those launches email john he is a grea tguy to talk to, and if you see him at the track ( make sure he's not busy) he'll talk to you.

Goodluck!

Wow that's crazy.... what is the weight of the car?
Can you tell me if the 23" can be used on 7.5" Lenso's? I can see on the M&H site that they suggest 8" wheels.

Btw. can someone tell me if my stock B16A driveshafts and axles can handle 220 whp with 23" slicks? I would like to have my CRX ready for next season and it won't be great to wait for overseas shipments etc. when it's season time.

Thanks

All motor, I doubt the stock axles will hold up after one track day on the slicks.

So all the 11-12 sec NA Honda's are running aftermarket units? Funny I have never seen a post about this.

As long as you preload your drivetrain on the launch you should be able to get away with stock axles for a good while. Just check them every 10-15 passes to make sure the splines are still straight.

So these are DOT...... so I can run them in the street class wow cool...... any one run these??? what are your 60's with them?
I have 22X9X13 M&H's I hit 1.7's with no traction bars and hit 2.0's on BFG D/R if I could hook in between them that would be sweet. Rob
