But you realize there are pics that John put up on TOO that look awfully like it.

Damn a prototype, huh? I was set on getting one with the d-shaped ports...

Yes, it should have A/F and I believe we'll get a data chart of HP & Torque vs rpm not just a curve. The A/F graph will be helpful to let guys know what headers require further tuning above a stock fuel curve. Most know that more useable power can almost always be had will fuel, timing and cam gear tuning.
Thanks Mike for shipping those to Chad. It's nice to have the support that you have given to this test.

as you can see...this is the work of someone that doesn't know what they are doing. a complete goof when it comes to building exhaust systems....someone with no talent...someone that ....oh you get the picture right?
his quality, workmanship and product performance is second to none.
i guess now you see why its called D shaped

HyTech's opinion on the test. 12:07 PM 12/14/2001
Our ITR exhuast was not designed to be run a car that we cannot tune. The whole idea of desinging a header like ours is to gain the maximum potential of the motor. Without tuning it, it is a waste of time. If the header is going to effect the performance then it will certianly need to be tuned. And since our header and exhaust greatly effects the fuel curve then tuning it will bring the full potential of the header motor combination. Our ITR full exhaust is a designed piece. It works together as one unit. So to see the full potential of it then you need to run the complete system. If you plan on running it with something else then the full potential will not be realized. You can not compair APPLES TO ORANGE so to speak. They are not valid test criteria. We are not like all of the other header manufactures, if we were then we would produce what everyone elses produces. We choose to be elite and offer to those who want the best the best product. Plus the dyno is not a true test of the performance of what the car really will see in real world conditions. If that were the case I will supply a header for the dyno only and not the real world conditions.

John, just wondering the ratio of Hitech headers to complete Hitech exhuasts?
Also, I think every single header in the test would benefit from tuning, not just the hitech. Some more than others.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No matter what header is used, there will be a benefit from tuning.
That's not the point. The is baseline, baseline. It's not supposed to represent the overall best header in a built motor/race app!
So, I'll rephrase the question.
Jeff, would you be willing to send in your hitech header so that we may all compare baseline charts on a stock car?
If you are refering to the length at the end of the collector, I believe that is a non-issue, as Dave has a testpipe to fit.
