its most likely the short ram intake. at certain throttle postions th car will sound like it's whistling. i purposely try to find that throttle position to drive with cuz it makes the car sound like it's spooling! lol. my fake *** turbo
My car whistles in each gear but first and fifth most of the time. It usually starts when i press the gas then if i keep a consistant rpm it goes away but when i let up on the gas it comes back. I got an aem cai and a greddy sp
I hear a whistle as well and I think it's from my E-Bay intake. I've had a few of my ... less knowledgable ... friends ask me if it was a turbo. One day. One day...
Most of the Integra owners I have to talked to about the "whistling noise" coming from the engine have been related to the air intake. Once they changed it over, they started to get a low whistle at lower RPMs when the throttle was opened up a bit and a very distinct whistle while heading towards redline. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but to be sure just hold your hand up to places where air is flowing and check the seals. Might possibly have a leak somewhere, dunno what the whistle sounds like in your car.
Please could you help me with this problem?
My 9 month old CRV makes a whistling noise when it is doing 2500 RPM. It only makes this noise at 2500 RPM any gear but not at any other RPM. Is this normal? It has only 3500 miles on the clock.
I've read a number of postings on the whistling noise issue and some people are saying it's because of "aftermarket intake" and some say it's because of "AEM CAI". I don't know anything about cars. Could you please tell me what is "aftermarket intake" and what is "AEM CAI"? Thanks.

First off post question about your CRV in the CRV forum( i think there is one,)
Second look at the picture of the engine bay above. the black tube comming out of the intake manifold is the intake, this one is a cold air intake (cia) AEM is an aftermarket company.
