ACCORD PROBLEMS RELAY??? PLEASE HELP
i have a carbuerated 1987 accord and the fuel dilivery was shot. I replaced the carbuerator and the fuel filters and it still ran bad. So i was driving and it died and i fixed the fuel pump and after it was done i was driving home and it was perfect for like 35 minutes and then it died. the Idle got low ..started struggeling and it died. I left it in the street ...like 4 hours later i tried starting it ....after like 10 minutes it finally started. I took the fuel line off the filter and no gas was flowing threw the lines when it wasnt starting. After i got it started it ran fine for like 2 days and then it happened again. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP my aim sn is hotimportcrx. The car is cranking but its not starting and no fuel is running threw the lines.
You might want to pull the fuel pump out of the tank and check the filter sock that fits around the pump inlet. I've known of tank rust/debris building up on the inlet sock and blocking fuel flow causing hard start/no start. After some time the material falls away enough that the car will start and run until the debris is pulled against the sock again.
I would also make sure the fuel line to your fuel filter is not blocked and that the fuel vents are open. Blocked fuel vent will cause suction pressure to build and restrict pump output.
good luck
