need help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have a 93 accord and it takes a while too start up but it starts up and the check engine lights on.So i wait a minute then turn it off and restart it and most of the time it starts normal and the check engine lights turns off. some people told me that it mite be the fuel pump and that cost $180 because its electronic.i want to know if someone knows whats wrong with it maybe its not the fuel pump

if its pre OBD all you can do is trial and error. If iits OBD 1 then you can hook it up to the diagnostic computer and see if throws any codes. The codes will tell you why the light is getting turned on. AutoZone does this for free.
You can pull the codes yourself.
On the passenger side, under the glovebox, against the wall right in front of the door is a small, blue 2-pin connector (mine was still taped to another cable). With the engine off use a paper clip or other suitable device and jumper the 2 positions. Start the car (or turn the key on) and your check engine light will blink. Do a search on "codes: and you'll find out what the blinking means.
And in the future try a more specific title for your post. This is a tech forum- everybody here needs help.

If you buy a book, there's typically a troubleshooting guide in the first section that may help. Haynes or Clymer are the inexpensive ones...$15-25 at Autozone and Kragen.
