Default couple problems

i just swapped my gsr motor out for a midly built ls/vtec setup. Everything is running fine except i have a check engine light, and sometimes after driving the rpms will drop and the engine will not catch itself completely and it will die. Could it be my idle air control valve? Would just turning up the idle fix the problem? I made sure there was no air in the coolant also if that matters. Help me out guys. Thanks

nah, i used to have that probo n my old car. i think his might be a vavume leak cuz thats what mine was.

does it have stage II or III cams? if it does and doesn't have some kind of engine management it could be running too rich at idle and bogging down. If not, it's probably a vaccum leak or some other small issue.

the p72 i have is tuned for skunk2 stage2s but i'm running jdm b16 cams. It idles just fine but sometimes when the rpms get to low it doesn't raise back up fast enuf and the motor dies.
