wondering if the crack on the wheel would cause any damage, as far as timing or all around running of the motor. Also would like to know how difficult it is to swap this part out cuz i do have another one that is on my blown engine. (sorry for the pic quality camera phone)

or would it be better to just go with aftermarket.

 

this "wheel" you refer to is the crank pulley...

and if i'm not mistaken, this is the motor that you bought for cheap right? if its just sitting there, then damn its easy to replace. even if its on the car, its simply remove bolt, change pulley, reinstall bolt... (skipped crap about belts)....

pick up a stock one around the classifieds for around $50...

yea this is the motor i picked up for cheap and the blown motor in my hatch i can just take the one off of my hatch. Its still in good condition. I just wasnt sure some people say it is hard as hell to get that bolt off.

 

did u guys no u can put the 94 up integra ls radiator in the hatch, i ended up doing that.

 

you should replace it and its easy if u have one and the motor is out of the car

It is hard to get off. But with the motor out of the car it does make it a bit easier. I don't know the torque of that bolt on the Civic cause I haven't done mine yet but I know on my old Accord it was torqued to 181 ft/lbs. You need something to hold that pulley still while you break the bolt loose. There is special tool that I use to hold the pulley. Here's a link to the tool I use.

Yeah that tool is probably your best bet if you don't have an impact gun and an air compressor.
