Your cluster does not control any of those things. It merely shows you what rpm you are at and how fast you're going along with fuel/temp. Your ecu controls your rpm and top speed etc.

LOL.

Gauges are gauges. They are only there to tell you information. They have no effect on your motor or how it runs.

Yeah, now that you've got the cluster, you can feel free to zing it to 10K before the rev limiter kicks in. And don't worry, 114 MPH is plenty fast anyway. Think of it this way, you've gained a whole lotta revs but lost a bit of top speed, no biggie...

The reason why the Si cluster goes to 140 MPH and the CTR cluster goes to 180 KPH is because Japanese cars have a speed governor at that speed. I'm not too sure about this, but the governor on an Si is greater than 180 KPH (~116 MPH). However, you won't reach 140 MPH with a stock Si. Like everyone else says, the cluster doesn't control the fuel cutoff or the governor. If you top your car out again, you'll end up burying your needle.

P.S. You won't be able to hit 10,000 RPMs either. Oh, and sell your Si cluster to me.
