Default Please Help: Problem with my 99' Integra GSR

Hey guys, I have a huge problem that I need solved quick...

I am about to head back from Omaha, NE back to NJ for good. So I went to the carwash today and cleaned to car so I can pack it up..I didn't touch the engine bay at all, just the outside of the car... anyways... on the way back at a stop light as I am accelerating, i notice the car started to bog down... wierd... anyways it did it for a while...

and tonight when i was driving it because i thought it was some random issue..the problem is now constant.. when i accelerate decently harder the car bogs down, the rpms start dropping slowly and there is no acceleration... the car kind of jerks back and forth... to me it seems like a fuel pump issue... its a 99 GSR with 61000 miles on it, all the oilchanges have been down properly and recently..

the other thing is that there is NO check engine light that has come on... i need help with this issue ASAP... any ideas on how to narrow down the problem?... the car drives fine on the highway when your not accelerating, only when you accelerate any more than a tiny bit it just starts to bog down heavily.. help help... thanks..

All I have on the car engine wise is an AEM CAI with bypass valve...

do you have a cold air intake? if so, the filter is probably wet. Then again, it should've dried up by now.... I'm not sure. Good luck troubleshooting your problem

Inspect your bypass valve to see if any pieces of it got sucked into your intake. Check your spark plugs, they are probably ok but it doesn't hurt to check them anyway. How much gas did you have in your tank? and when was the last time you filled up? Because bad gasoline could also cause bogging. While your at it, you might as well check your vacuum lines for any damage or misconnections.

Ya, that would be the first thing I'd check. My motor did this for a long time as well, but that was with a check engine light which you said you don't have. Good luck finding the fix

hey man you should take your valve cover off and check your head for any water or check your oil. I sucked up up some water before and my valves started knocking. I had to take off my head and clean it out.

good luck!

Update: No Codes are being thrown..

Tested fuel system, fuel is flowing properly...

Tested spark plug wires with another spark plug, spark plug is sparking...

Im gonna replace all my plugs with some NGK's, i recently put in some Bosch platinums and I was just told they suck...

im open to all suggestions at this point...

I'm not sure, my da is doing the same thing. From what all I've searched this is a few things that people told me to check...

-Ignitor
-Ignition Coil
-timing
-bad fuel
-fuel filter
-O2 sensor
-EGR Valve

there are so many things that could make it bog like that, it's really hard telling. Hope you solve your problem, keep us updated.

hey man, i had that same issue 2 days ago, for me, after checking both the fuel and air, i decided to take out the ECU 15 amp thingy for about 1-2 min, then put it back in. it worked like a charm.

on a side note, i do have a check engine light for my 02sensor, most likely they are related, but it doesnt hurt to try before doing all those other things.

late,
yoda
