I have a 1997 Acura Integra GS-R and I'm hoping someone can tell me whether or not I'm going to need to modify my exhaust piping for this to fit. I will be running the above mentioned header + a Carsound 2.5" cat + an A'PEXi WS exhaust. BTW it's a sedan..

I've been told the header is longer than the stock manifold so I'd like to know if I'm going to need to just turn all my stuff over to a shop and have them cut down my exhaust and re weld it for a proper fit.

Any info is greatly appreciated..

 

the only problem i have with my JDM header is it almost has a hole in it b.c. it drags and hits the ground. so be careful if your car is lowered.....

 

You will need to shorten the exhaust slightly, or get a shorter carsound cat (if you didn't buy it already) made for your setup by kteller8 or smsp on this board.

And yes, be careful with the 4-1, it hangs very low and is easy to scrape/dent.

 

i have a 95 gsr, and the only problem with the jdm 4-1 headers is that i stracth alot. ANd i also have a 2.5 carsound cat and custom piping.

 

how long you guys dropped with the header?

 

I had Neuspeed Race for about 2 years, and the Tein SS (not too low) for another year - I only had about a 1/4 inch dent on each of the bottom 2 runners. In LA, I almost never scraped the 4-1, but when I lived in pothole city (DC) I used to scrape a lot.

 

I fear for my header's life everytime I drive through construction
