Default turbo charged prelude?

I have been saving to by a lude for a while but now i am having doubts is it cool to turbocharge a 2001 lude or will it shorten engine life, if so by how much. What about tc a 2001 SH will it kill atts and engine life? What if i turbo and keep it at low boost 5-7psi should i just buy and rsx s instead?

It may or may not decrease the life span of your motor. It depends on how well you tuning is done. If you get the tuning just right and stay below 7 psi it COULD BE SAFE. You need to search in the archives and read as much as you can before you turbo a prelude. Learn all you can be starting a project like this one.

more than likely, any time you put a FI setup onto an engine that was only designed for NA you are gonna shorten the life. How much you shoten it by really depends on the driver...
keep the boost low and the tuning just right, and you should be fine. (but then whats the point?!)
