Uh, I got a fully built turbo H22 in my 97 EX. Mods list is pretty extensive so what did you want to know?

I'm looking forward to my H22-T swap. i predict 7psi daily, with occasional runs at 12-14 psi. stock block, Crower H22+boost cams and valvetrain, Turbonetics t3/t04 hybrid, Blitz FMIC, GReddy timing belt, RCI injectors (already got Venoms, but I've got my doubts), adjustable cam gears, some other bolt on stuff, and the usual turbo parts. I'm looking for pro advise on what to expect from a similar setup. I had a H23VTEC frankenstein, and i wanted to go all motor, but money got tight right before I was to swap, and I sold it to a EGhatchback who currently runs mid11s. bastard. I mainly want to keep the bottom end stock, and in great condition, and I knew the H23VTEC would have too much compression for the snail. I had TypeS pistons in the block, to boot. anyways, do you think ditching the H23 was a good idea, or am i just wasting money on going with a stock-block turboed H22?
First off, there is no way you're gonna run 12-14 psi on a stock H22 bottom. Not gonna happen (realistically). 8 is the most you'd wanna run with any confidence that it won't blow. So I'd say you'd be wasting your money. Going turbo on an H22 reliably takes some serious coin. I'm 10K into it and still have some things I'd like to improve.
On a stock bottom end 6-8 pounds well tuned. That's what I've always read/heard. I didn't want to take any chances, plus I wanted a lot more hp then 6-8 would offer. So I rebuilt it.
on a friends h22 turbo his ringlandings lasted ummmm 2,3 weeks on 7lbs if u want to run boost u HAVE to change ur pistons atleast. it wasnt completely tuned yet or even broken in.

Well if it wasn't tuned that was why he had problems. Tuning is everything
