how do I properly reset the timing belt tensioner
so i FINALLY got the crank pulley bolt off, and not i have everything set. and i cant seem to get the tensioner to reset itself....
everytime i go by what my haynes says it will move the loose end of the belt to the top or the right side of it???
how do you determine what the 3 degrees are?

you got loosen the timing belt tensioner and spin the engine by hand one way. Until the belt gets tight, then tighten it up. It sucks because everytime you do this timing seems to be off. Take a few tries if you took of your timing belt.
