Default new to the speed scene

hey you guys doin. i recently have been doing off road projects. Ive just got into this speed scene about a month ago and am planning on buyin a car. I was just wondering what would be a good project car for a 17 year old kid with a limited budget. Im probably lookin at buyin a integra gsr, or ls. Im thinkin about doing some engine work to make this car pretty fast but nothin like dumping 10k in the engine. just a series of small-medium modifications. I needed some advice from the pros on this board that have done project cars. Is a ls, or gsr a good buy?

The codes hes referring is basically a check engine light and you tap into the ecu(computer) to see whats wrong with your car. 94 and 95 gsr's are obd1 which is beneficiall when tuning your engine. b16 and b18 are just engines- example B18C1= gsr, B18C5= type R, B18B1= ls and so on. by doc do you mean DOHC? (dual overhead cam)- you basically have 2 cams. i would suggest reading a lot on hear and team-integra.net to learn more about integras and cars in general. i know my explanation was brief and general but o well, hope it helps and good luck.

best thing to do is if you have any questions regarding a subject matter 90% of the time the question can be answered by using the search function........

i didnt really trust it at first but believe me it works, just type in a few keywords........

gsr gets my vote but u might have better luck finding an ls for 4-5k.......
