Have a 89 crx si thats stock and will not start. Iv checked the main relay and thats fine. Cars fuel pump primes when key is turned on. Also no codes are being thrown from the ecu. But i will say this when key is turned on, a RED light flashes once from the ecu see through window. Not sure if this is a Bad ecu problem or something to deal with the dizzy/ignitor? The car is just not getting any spark what so ever. I just bought this car and someone has cut into the wires under the dash. Iv gone through all of them and fixed everything "i think".. So so far iv got a car iv never heard run. And im looking for any help what so ever. Does anyone know how to test the ignitor to see if its ok? Or how to test a coil? How about anyone near Toledo,oh that has a extra dizzy i could try?? Any help would be great!!
also checked all fuses and there fine.

 

1. the first red flash is the sign that theres power to your ecu, so that fine.
2. hows your battery?
3. is the car atleast trying to turn over? or is it just dead.
4. check all your wires for wear, and make sure there connecting at the plugs and distributor
5. check inside the distributor, i hear sometimes the rotor can be messed up.
6. if ur not getting any spark, and u know the wires/plugs are good, then chances are its ur dizzy, try and find a friend or local h-t with a good dizzy,
