Default Annoying Knocking/Clicking noise continues. Please help.

heres the scoop.
Knock your kunckles on the table, relitivly lightly, this is the noise. Happens at a speed about 3 times a second.

It occurs when im accelerating and does not change speed much, it occurs when I go up hills, and now it occurs very briefly when I stopping the car like 1 second before I come to a complete stop. It will go away if I take my foot off the gas, but does not go away when I am almost stopped with my foot of the gas. This is driving me completely insane.

Please help me, if anyone in the MD area may be able to help me with with please let me know. Ive had a mechanic change a lug stud, he took a look under there, said he didnt see anything unsusal from the axle and CV boot, he regreased the wheel bearings and all that (the noise occured a long time before these things were checked out, and still contiunes today.) Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

When I was reading your statement, control arm bushings came to my mind, you say it happens 3 times in a second or a minute? If you hear it so very fast ( 3 times a second) then I don't know.

Everything else sounds like a control arm bushing or a sway bar bushing on it's way out. Toyota Camry's and Dodge Intrepids do that but you only hear it 2-3 times a minute on accel or when stoping.

is the speed or volume of the sound dependent on vehicle speed, or RPM?

TICK TICK TICK BOOM!

check your oil right away. i was told that that type of ticking may be related to bent valve. not to scare you, but could be major trouble.

DO NOT IGNORE! WILL NOT GO AWAY!

i learned the hard way. throwing rods sucks.

when this happened to me - i'm no expert - i was told a combination of low/no oil and bent valve caused this. i started hearing the ticking noise, dealt with it for two weeks, then...

boom.

btw, after rereading your post...

i thought it was my timing belt, or related to something that was rotating. it sounded like it came from the drivers side of the engine compartment, where timing belt is, and seemed to increase/decrease slightly with speed.

well, it was not.

I just had my motor rebuilt, I better not have a bent valve, I dont see how I would this noise started happening about 1 week after I got the rebuild while I was still breaking it in, it really doesnt sound like a valve though. It also will not make this noise in neutral when I rev it up.
