Q for the techs..clownshoes refrain!
This is the situation and I think I can get some hints from the fellow techs.
Vehicle: 2004 Nissan Armada SUV.
OE Audio System: Bose
Install: (2) 5.6" headrest monitors, (1) DVD player in center console, (1) Farenheit FMT-8 wireless FM modulator. (1) Farenheit WLHP-4 IR Headphones w/ IR transmitter mounted on center overhead console.
Problem: Everytime you turn on the radio (Bose system) it overrides the IR signal to the headphones and the movie audio is gone. Turn it off, and the audio is loud and clear. FM modulator no causing any problems. Any thoughts??

Is there a way for you to turn off the fm mod when useing headphones? if not try disconnecting power to it, [the fm mod], and see if the headphones work when radio is on

I already did. I even connected the DVD player directly to the IR transmitter's RCA and it still happens..
Some of my sales person sugested there might be another infrared device in the vehicle that also works at the same time as the radio do. Got to check on that too.

my only though is the car already has some sort of factory feature that uses the IR (maybe rear seat headphones for the radio.. which would be sorta dumb) or something..... not sure haven't delt with that car yet let alone with a mobile vid system
I would think that if there is somekind of IR sig. off the Bose OEM HU that it would have to be very powerfull to compleatly cut out the aftermarket IR headphones. It sounds to me like the Ferenheit IR is being turned off, [where dos it get its power]
