Quick question Honda-Tech: How many miles worth of gas are left in your tank after the gas light comes on? Or should I say how MUCH gas is left in the tank. If you know either let me hear it. Someone has to know this, we all need gas, and we all run out.

anywhere from 2-2.5 gallons.

 

yeah i thoght it was between 2-3 gallons

I've always heard you have about 35 miles to go when the gas lite comes on. I never chance it though.

 

well this isnt honda related...but me and my boy in his ford contour drove over 40 exits on I-95 here in florida at 80mph after the gas light came on...thats over 100 miles...

Well, you have about 60-80 miles to go before your car stalls from running out of gas---after the gas light comes on.

If you doubt me so much...then keep searching for answers.

 

Oh nah, I'm not doubting you at all, I am just wondering if it says it in the owners manual or in the Helms or something thats all.

 

light will come on after touch close to the empty level?? cause mine seems not working..not really sure..never ran out of gas..so anyone have pic that when will light come on (needle level)
