im kinda new to this....but....i have a gsr that needs a new tranny....would s1 work?.....(if u dont mind could u explain the whole s1 s2 deal?).......PM's dont show up on my comp....comp thinks its a pop up and it block's 'em....

does the tranny grind at all? any defects what so ever?

The tranny notches into 4th gear , but if you prss the clutch put it in neautral and then push the clutch again and put it in 4th it wont grind. So i'm thinking som gm syncromesh will take kare of it! Others gear wont grind unless ur shifting at like 8K+rpm'. Its an LS tranny so that's why I it does i've been told. if you shift normal no grinds, and under 8,000 rpms not grinds.
USDM s1 tranny is a cable LS tranny. It'll work with any b-series motor as long as u have a cable tranny set up, if ur hydro u can get an adaptor from hasports i believe.

I noticed in ur signature that u ahve a 99 teggy, i wouldnt' recommend switching to cable set up i would just stay with hydro.
