Anyone running this setup?
Hey whats up, I'm new to the prelude and this forum. Previously i owned a 00' celica GT-S but i couldn't find enough aftermarket parts, so i sold it for a 97 'lude non-sh. Anyways i have a setup in mind and i wanna kno if you guys think its any good and what kinda numbers you think ill be getting. The list is; Aem Intake, intake manifold (which do you recomend?), Throttle body (again which do you recomend?), Crower stage 2 cams springs and retainers, cam gears, header (which one is good?) with a 2.5" collector, 2.5" cat back exhaust system and high flow cat. And last but not least hondata for engine managment. Hopefully with this setup ill be making some decent power because i want to stay N/A, my goals for this set up are 8,000 RPM red line, around 200 wheel hp, and still be reliable, do you think this will get me there? For the intake manifold and throttle body can i just have those ported and polished or should i but new aftermarket peices? Oh and my final question is can the stock injectors handle all this plus a 50 shot of nitrous? I kno this is a long post so if you read it all and gave answers thanks a bunch for your time, your helping me in a big way.

OK, I'm new to honda-tech but I do know a few things, so take what i say with a grain of salt.
AEM intake - good - i recommend AEM v2
Intake manifold - use the search, this has been answered many times
trottle body - see above
crower - good
header - honda knew what they were doing when they designed the header. stock is pretty efficient as is. DC is not worth the money in my opinion and others. if you got the bones, Mugen has a nice header. 2.5" collecter and cat-back is decent enough for NA ( i recommend Greddy EVO 2 , nice sound, par gains, Thats what i have.)
Handata - good
intake manifold/trottle body port polish - thats fine with port and polish but if your gonna be doin all this work why not through some more aftermarket goodness into the mix.
50 shot nos - don't know, I'm not running nitrous
These are all my opinions but your number of 200whp sounds about right to me since your building up the engine along with your basic bolt-ons.
hope this helps in some way.

aem cai is good
id stick with stock manifold til someone dynoes the skunk2 on a simialr engine as yours. the amount of work needed to put a euro-r on is daunting to soem but it may not be for you.
if you really want a throttle body id go with a 65mm str at most.
and your idea of porting the stock manifold and tb is good one over all i think it will get you teh ebst gains with the rest of yoru setup.

Thanks guys, this is exactly what i needed to know, i sold my GT-S for $10,000 and picked up this lude for $6,000 from a friend with only 68,500 miles on it, so i have $4,000 burning a hole in my pocket, its not just goin into the engine though. otherwise this list would be a bit bigger.

AEM intake - Stock intake works well you just need to ghetto fab a way to get cool air to it. Or it anything get a cheapie Ebay CAI as an intake is an intake. A filter on a stick.
Intake Manifold- Skunk2s has still not proven anything yet, if i were you i would go with the Euro R mani. Some stuff has to be fabbed though to fit our motor. Search and you will find out more about that.
Throttle Body- You could port your stock one to a max of 66mm outside and 64 inside for 100bucks, PM "The New SpaceBalls". He does this for 100 bucks with a new throttle plate and sand blasts your stock one to make it look brand new again.
Cams, valve Springs and retainers- The stg.2 Crowers are good for your setup as they are not too mild yet good enough for stock compression.
Header Exhaust, cat - Look into prospeed headers as they are the best bang for the buck, but if your a baller and could afford a 1200+ a header i would also look into SMSP or Hytechs header. And for exhaust i would go with just a custom 2.5inch mandrel bent system where you could order just the piping from kteller and a muffler. You could get a local to get it all fabbed up and working. And a cat, well you could get a carsound one they seem pretty nice. I cant really reccomend a good model since i just use a test pipe. Ask others though and you shall recieve some good reccomendations im sure.
