Default 91 2.0L Si.......swap options+$$?

a friend has a chance to buy a 91 2.0L Si prelude for almost nothing. car is beautiful... hella clean. just has rods hanging through the engine.

what are some swap options that are strong n/a, but will hold up w/o worries of blowing up..

any price guesses would be helpful too for full conversion if we do the work ourself.

TIA!!!

I would go with the B20A... People on here are going to bash me for this but I think that it is a sweet block and also strong to. I have 220,000 on mine and I run the hell out of it! There is no Si that is SOHC unless it has been swapped with the S motor. It should have a B20A5 if it is a 2.0... Being a 91 I am not sure on this... I always thought those blocks are 2.1 Liters... (oil burners!) The B21s have an oil burning problem on them... Let me know if you need any help on anything.. You should check out http://www.preludepower.com

go with the b18c5 even though many ppl on this web site dont like them for some reason. if not a big budget get a ls motor and boost, it i dont care what they say that 3rd gen with a b18 boosted will run pertty good ,and surprise a lot of ppl

it wont fit in as a swap...its gotta be all costom...everything...the only mounts made are h22 mounts...or go wht the JDM b20a...its not a crv motor, they are nothing alike at all. its a drop in swap

Another B20A5 should be easy to find. A hell of a lot easier and cheaper than the B18C5 mentioned above. Or a B21A1 if you can find a engine builder that can work with the liner/ring problem. Then turbo if you can manage the piping involved. I fought with and tried to figure out how to fit a CAI in that thing and the headlight doors and other crap was always in my way.
