What do you think about that: M3 vs. CTK
so yestrday we had drag race event goin'on in Slovenia,Portorose
I set my best time ever 14.301 (1/4mile time + reaction time)
Was in class 14-15s and my first match was with this BMW M3 the resault was
2:1 for me...had couple more runs with some other cars and gotto finall where I had to run against the new 911 carrera 4S, he sure did smoke me good :0(

B16A2 engine 93'
- ITR cams
- ITR camgears
- ITR valves (bouth intake and exhaust are the same weight, custom job)
- ITR valve springs
- ITR oil pan
- ITR 4-2-1 orig. header
- CPS forged NA pistons
- race clutch
- B16A2 hydro tranny
- head job done (port, polish, lowered...)
- crank shaft + flyweel lighten and balanced
- polished valve cover
- polished IM + little job done on the inside
- APEXi airfilter
- HASport engine mounts
- HASport shift linkage
- custom made exhaust
Till now
14.301s was done on street tires YOKOHAMA AVS Sport on 1.4bar, I must say that they aren't worth a dimme, shitty tire... :0(

One question for all of you that have DRAG tires on:
"How much faster would the car be with drag slicks"
Cause with these street tires I must do everything with clutch,
If I let it go without clutch @2500rpm I just burn the tires and
story is over :0(
And another shitty thing in here is that on our drag races we must have SAE or DOT tires so that means all street legal drag tires...:0(

well im using Falken Azenis...very in expensive road racing tire. I launch at 4500-5000rpms make 2.2 60 fts and my best pull to date is a 14.3 at 96mph. Very sticky tire. I get them for $60 a tire... not sure what the prices in your area will be or if they even carry them.
DOT Drag Radials would be your best bet. wicked sticky and around $100-$150 a tire. only need 2 for the front.
