[PREVIOUS PROBLEM]

.
Before I explain the problems I am having...
The custom turbo I have is from a good friend who had an almost exact setup as me (see below)...in other words, this is from another donor GSR (Turbo setup, 6xxx miles old). My donor gsr (the person and car that I got the turbo from) was previously tuned (Hondata) by Shawn @ Church automotive...
It made, I think 250-255 WHP @ 6.5 PSI with his secondaries not functioning right.
Well, he sold the turbo kit to me.
My cousin, him and I installed the turbo this past weekend onto my car.
My car before I boosted it:
1995 GSR
- stock timing @ 16TDC
- stock block, head, pretty much stock internals
----139xxx miles, consistent compression #'s
----all across, no oil leaks, no other leaks, no problems,
----well maintained by me.
- using NKG BKR6Es gapped at 1.3mm
- from my perspective, it still hauled ***
The custom turbo I put in my car
--He took it out after approx 6000miles--
----*in which I've added some stuff*
- inlinepro manifold
- garrett t3/t04e .63 ar
- custom 3" dp w/ qtec30 exhaust cutout
- the dp not bolted to my custom exhaust since my cat flange is all fucked up...
so I'm pretty much running open DP w/w.out the cutout.
- 38mm tial wg
- dsm 450 injectors (rebalanced by RC engineering)--with some shitty old *** resistor box---not the common flat ones you see on most setups
- walbro 255 lph HP fuel pump
- his ECU w/the socketed hondata s200 w/ boost
- cca 31x6x2.75 intercooler
- stock radiator, found out my FAL dual fan didn't even fit when it came to install day.... SO I've GOT DUAL FAL FANS for sale (model: 210/220 pusher, black, NEW*)
- for now I have 1 10" fan...
- Same 6heat plugs..since I figured I was only running 6.5 lbs until I order me some NGK7s...
I figured since this turbo came from a car with almost the same car as me, except the mileage or what not, I would be fine with his ecu and previous tuned settings in my car....
THE PROBLEM:
Well, it was the best days of my life for being able to drive it for 2 days!! Ran sooo good, full boost @4500, and I never really pushed it to 8k, just up to 6 and almost 7k just to see how it ran. It felt so good to have finally crossed the dark side.... until the third day.
My car showed misfire signs as I was driving it after work a mile and a half to a friends apartment to pick up some stuff.
Anyhow, I let my car idle infront of his house and took it for a test drive to make sure my mind wasn't tricking me into hearing things from my car....
One run down the road pushing the car up to 5k, made a U-turn then all of a sudden (as I was idling), my car starts to bog, I give it gas, it bogs...struggles, more gas, it struggles then it just dies....
Pushed it back to his apt parking lot.... pulled out the plugs.
A little on the white side... *F.CK* its running LEAN!
I switch the plugs for the NGK7s that my donor GSR had...
It starts!!! Runs good @idle, I go head to Carls for some food and as we finish ordering, it sputters, bogs and does the same thing. DAMN, De Ja VU!!! No smoke, no other signs of internal breakdown.
We push it into a nearby lot and pull the plugs again, WHITE!!... I couldn't figure out what it was.
NOTE: I still don't have the rest of my gauges...all I have is a boost gauge....
We tried fixing the problem, got it to run and it did the same thing... tried some more when it finally didn't turn over but it still cranked.
I gave up on it as it was getting late and I had work in the morning so I left it infront of a hardware store with a NO GAS note on the car.
After work, I did a compression test and it was good all across... this was w/the engine cold of course since I can't even get my car to start. (160-165 all across). I get it towed to my APT so I can work on it there.
I go on HT.com to see if people had similar problems...well someone did and his thread stated it was the coil since his symptoms were exactly like mine.
----------------
Fast forward to TODAY, just a few hours ago.
I buy a new coil, replaced my old one even though it didn't show any signs of it being broken, I replaced it anyway. Also bought new plugs. I install everything to spec...start the car. Wont turn over... hmmm I'm thinking my motor is flooded with fuel from before.... I was running out of ideas (checked all the vaccuum hoses and what not...everything else was good).
My friend and I tried to push start my car, on the 2nd try it almost started, then I messed with it by starting it/cranking it with my key in the ignition. I heard it almost go and I kept on doing it. IT STARTS!!!!!!! It idles for a good 2 minutes when it starts to show signs of misfiring...I give it gas and try to drive around in circles in my apartment parking lot....after about 4-5 periods around the lot, it was giving up so I park it in my apartment port and let go of the throttle to let it idle and it dies..........UGH SAME ****, I don't know what to do anymore.
So obviously, my car isn't getting enough fuel to stay running and that would explain why it wouldn't even crank over. Now I just can't figure out why it wont even get enough fuel since I have a working new fuel pump.... and there's spark from the plugs...
My cousin (the one who helped me install my turbo, whos also a mechanic *has boosted honda cars before*) suggested to swap back my stock injectors and undo the resistor box to see if it starts at all.... I will try this in a moment.
HOWEVER I am still seeking for ideas, suggestions... help here on HT from all you FI gurus! Please, I need some advice to get my car running again as it is my only mode of transportation to school, work...etc.
*I apologive if this post is long, but I tried to be as descriptive as I can so you guys can understand my problem*

Difference between you and me though is that Im running a previously tuned Hondata.s200b ECU setup....
I really need the car running...its not my ignition system...
I will swap the injectors back to stock right now and I'll let you know how it goes.

you should take it to a local Hondata Tuner and get it re-tuned to your specs. Although you got it from a different GSR with a similar setup, it'll need to be tuned to your specific application. It'll make a huge difference on how your car runs.
Hope everything works out.
Hope everything works out.
That is my plan. Get the rest of the necessary gauges. Whatever else I need.... then go back to see Shawn @ Church Auto for some dyno tuning...
Its only been several days and the headaches!!!!!!

Dang...so its not your coil?
Do you smell the stench of fuel when you remove the spark plugs after an attempted start?
Another thing you can try is check and see if your igniter went bad. Pull out all of your plugs and while someone cranks your car you ground the plug to the valve cover and see if you get spark. Make sure you touch the plug to one of the valve cover nuts because you will not see a spark if you don't ground it.
Hope you get this squared away.
EDIT: I didn't read your post all the way through. You said your car started but then died because it was running lean. I had the same problem when my first coil died. When I would accelerate off the line the AF ratio would go completely lean and bog really bad. It got progressively worse and coil eventually died. It also did that at idle. It would miss and go completely lean. Get your fuel system as close to stock as possible and troubleshoot from there.

i hate to say it, i know many will disagree, but it has been said before. dsm injectors internal electronics dont mix well with hondata's. i had a SHITTY idle, with a shitty basemap hondata s200b, changed to lucas 440's still not great, but it sounds like a regular idle now. i dont know, helped me to switch out the dsms, might help you.

I know my car is running lean for sure.... white plugs indicate lean.... and the ecu with the hondata im using was tuned for a 12 A/F ratio at boost...etc.

Well, I've know many people with DSMs and have had success. I will be planning to get some RC saturated injectors but not now.
My idle was really nice (stock) before this started happening.
I HAVE MORE BAD NEWS and I feel like an idiot.
I tried to swap back to my stock injectors and undo the resistor box install.
As I was putting everything back together, I was tightening the FPR to the fuel rail. Thinking everything was snug. I was ready to go. Reason why I switched it out, was to see if my car would even start.
So I'm getting ready to pressurize my lines and checking back for leaks...I head hissing noises coming from the FPR area. UGH didn't tighted enough. I do it again, same thing. So I keep tightening *DOH this is where I should have been cautious*.... well you guys can assume what happened next.
Snap. There goes 1 of the 2 bolts that hold the FPR down onto the fuel rail.
It's just been a bad week....and will be another one this coming week.
I have new problems and my options for those:
---extract the dame bolt using an extractor
-or replace my shitty fuel rail with a better one...and might as well as invest in a new adjustable FPR...
after I solve that, I can fix my main problem.
this is never going to stop

I would suspect the injectors, resitor box, or fuel filter. I would also suspect the coil, but you changed that.
How would you check if the resistor box is still in good functioning condition?
And, any suggestions as to how I can remove the broken FPR-to-Fuel-Rail bolt?
All I know is to use an extractor....will that be sufficient?

you could always try to drill into it and then reverse the drill, but seeing that it is probably tight, that might not work. Just take off the rail to work on it. or just get another rail.
most shops have a device for measuring frequency i just dont know the name of it. It takes like 10 seconds and they can tell you if your resistor box is working or not. It sounds like an ignition problem. Your tuner should be able to fix that with the hondata. make sure your plugs are gapped correctly.
So I swapped out my DSM 450s and resistor box for my stock GSR Injectors and took out the resistor box. Also plugged in my old stock ECU.
It started fine...idle'd for like a good 2 minutes then started to sputter.....
UGH... I don't know what else it could be...
I replaced the coil already and put new plugs gapped to 0.28".
Could it be my igniter? Distributor itself?
There's spark.... fuel....
PLEASE HELP!

Missing link? I don't think that would be necessary..I'm running a custom turbo kit, not a drag kit...
And FMU? I've got Hondata s200b as my EMS.
As for distributors.... I still have yet to find out if it is the distributor... i dont know how to check one that's faulty...so yeah..

I had the same problem. Drive normal then bogg then turn off,but would restart. till one day it wouldnt restart. tuened out to be my distributor. distributor number one enemy for GSR. i went through 2 then decided to buy a Brand new one with a 3 year warranty..
i had the very same problem with my mx3 when my maf went bad.Now i know hondas use a map sensor but maybe the vacuum line going from the map sensor to your im has a crack in it and the crack opens up when the car is warm.
when you checked for fuel did you do it while the car was idling? I know when my maf went bad the car would drive fine until 2k rpms and then id either step on it or it would die on its own.

That sucks. **** happens tho when you work on your car. Thas for sure.
Next time, use some teflon tape and wrap those suckers around. Maybe the O-Ring was bad. You don't need to Super tighten them if you have enough seal, so check those O-rings and use teflon tape around cracks so it doesn't leak anything.
And I really hope you fix everything and get your boost crave filled. At least the problems you have aren't too bad. They're all fixable with the right parts. Good luck

thing is...I never pushed my car to 8 or near redline...
I think the real problem is, my whole dizzy crapped out on me.
The screw came out, and i didnt even need an extractor...turned out it wasn't even tight in there....the bolt broke and i have no explanation for it.
I replaced my 450 injectors for stock ones, removed my resistor box.... replaced my hondata'd ecu with my other stock ecu and the car ran for a good 2 mins. then same **** happened.
I really do think its my whole dizzy thats causing me to misfire...
or maybe it could just be my igniter... i replaced the coil already...
What i will do next is just replaced the whole damn dizzy.... just say **** it. Im done with the headaches.... i need my car running.
Thanks for all the help. I appreciate it.

First off, you cannot just take a tuned map off of one motor and put it on a same different motor and expect it to run right. Every motor is different, and every motor needs to be tuned different, whether is a little or alot. Secondly, when the car dies and will not restart, do you hear your fuel pump priming? If not check your main relay which controls the priming of your fuel pump. As soon as you get the car runnning decent, take it to get tuned asap. If you drive it, do not boost. I think you might have been better off just running a base map with the Hondata and going to a dyno. Good luck, keep us updated.
I wasn't expecting **** to run perfect.... What I was expecting was at least to have a really good basemap until I can fund a dyno session.
Dont give me this jargon bullshit of how everymotor is different...and pity me or treat me like some poor schmuck who installed someone elses turbo setup. I'm sorry for the harsh words, but I'm sick of not having car for more than a week.... literally having to ask my close friends to give me a ride to school and lend me a car to make a run to the auto store.
My cousin who did most of the install and helped me install is a mechanic. Although, his friend who has become a good friend helped out too... I GIVE YOU GUYS
. ...anyhow, my cousin has boosted cars all his life. He brought my car to life, he inspired me to join the darkside. I give him and his good friend Angelo for helping me convert to the darkside.
I CAN TELL YOU THIS: My walbro255 makes a whirring noise for 2 seconds as soon as you turn the ignition to on. My back seats are out and I can guarantee you its working right.
What I cannot tell you and hate to admit is that my DIZZY crapped out on me and causing me to misfire and when my car does start, it can't even hold the RPMS.
