Default Interior Light Bulb Replacement

I basically want to replace my door lights (the ones above the dash) with the same ones that I put in my driver and passenger door.

I used PIAA in the driver and passenger doors and they look amazing. The bulb is the Type 168; Part No. 19171; Model H-63e

Here is what it looks like in my drivers side door:

Now for the hard part. I don't know how to replace the two that are above the dash. Do I have to pull down the whole console somehow, or is there an easier way? Are those bulbs the same ones that are in the door?

These are the two lights I am talking about:

I have put arrows and numbers to show where I am guessing I have to pull on. Are any of those right?!

I tried a search, but I couldn't find anything...can someone point me in the right direction please? Thanks!

if you look closely, you should be able to see where the lens latches on, and you can just stick like a pin in those points to pop it out. Just be careful not to break it, it can be a little tricky. I don't think you need to take off the console.

Yea I have a 96 but the clear lense just pops out. I put some Eurolite blue bulbs in my doors but they turned back to white well yellowish after like a week so let us know how it goes with these? How much were they? I have the stock ones in mine now as I changed door panels and they had stock ones in it but I still have the Eurolite ones but see no point in putting htem back in and I also have it still as dome light but it turned yellow also. The bubls look blue when off just not when lit up.

i replaced all the bulbs in my 98 (doors, front roof, back light, trunk) and yeah if you look you can see the tab where you pry. its pretty simple and looks awesome

by the way does anyone know if its illegal in any states to replace the lightbulb that lights up your license plate? i heard from a friend that certain colors that conflict with emergency services are illegal (blue, red, orange) so does that mean if i have a white underbody kit its legal?

Where are you guys buying those light bulbs from? I had 2 websites saved up a while ago, 1 gives you all the bulb part numbers, the other sells colored bulbs from regular gas ones to xenon/halogen. Lost both links now. And I just spent 3 hours on line looking and can't find those links.

It would be great if you can leave me a link or 2. I just went FI and now want to work on my interiors starting w/ lights. Thanks in advance.

The ones I used in doors were 3022 bulbs and http://www.crutchfield.com sells Eurolite ones I just got the cheap $5 ones that turned yellow but they also have Xenon ones that I haven't tried. http://www.cardomain.com sells PIAA ones Eurolite ones APC ones and some other brands. Personally I like crutchfield better even though the cost a little more though.

I've bought a pair of blue ones that really resemble those ones from crutchfield. The blue 'xenon' blue lights. Turns out they were just some lame gas ones with glass painted blue. So of course after a month, they faded away to normal lights that were brighter than the factory ones...

Yeah I bought the cheap $5 ones not the Xenon ones from crutchfield and they appear to be painted blue but the wierd thing is they also faded to the normal color only it only took like a week maybe a little more yellowish and I don't think were any brighter than normal ones. If you take the bulb out it is still painted blue its just not blue when they light up. I am not really impressed with Eurolites stuff. There headlights look cool but the lowbeam ones I had burnt out like every 2 months and these faded back to yellow. I like my high beam Eurolite headlights though and so far my Amber Xenon turn signal bulbs. I got those becasue they were the only amber ones I could find and the headlights looked great and put off a lot more light than stock and wernt the blue color that reflects off stuff. The low beams kept buring out though but I do love the high beams and have had them in for over a year now with now problems(knock on wood).

I'm luckier than you so far w/ headlights. I bought artic white from Nokya first, used them for over 4 years now, 1 popped. So recently I just switched to Luminics purples. So far, they only look nice in purple, not as bright as the artic whites... I miss those now.
My amber lights came w/ my clear lens. The seller was nice enough to include a pair of xenon yellows, and they've not faded on me at all. But those blue ones I bought for my dome all faded out.

On the topic of interior lights, anyone else got a link for application/parts list of the bulb numbers for all the lights used in Accords? Having one handy would be really great. Found one on the PIAA site, but they aren't as detailed nor comprehensive. Didn't include any for the dashboard lights, A/C or shift lights etc etc.

Yeah my clear corners came with lights and so did my clear bumper lenses but they come with a different bulb than the car takes for the bumper lights. The corner lights had the correct bulbs though. The headlights I had really bad luck with the low beams but good luck with the high beams from them I'm trying Farenheit bulbs for the low beams now. I know people on here say this stuff is ricey but I don't like the yellowish look of the stock lights or headlights. I would like blue colored stuff one the interior and white headlights which I have but I don't want to spend much on the interior lights. I would also like white that matches the Xenon Super white headlights for my corner lights. The stock white is yellowish and doesn't match my headlights. I was wondering if the crutchfields Eurolite Xenon blue was blue colored like these or the super white type color and it was just calling it blue.
