Just wanted to share our B20/Vtec info with everyone, I know that some people here on H-T are always asking about the B20/Vtec and this is what we have done so far!
Well despite being really late to CMI today due to a busy shop........we were able to make some Exhibition passes to see what one of our car's would do........
The car is a 1991 Silver DA and it weighs in at 2150......
The engine is a stock Sleeve B20, you can get the specifics in my signature!
This car would run 12.6 with an empty tank of gas and only the driver seat.
yes it still has all the factory glass and is a street driven car! This time around we had both seats in the car with a full tank of gas and we changed out the stock diff and put in a CTR LSD......
We ran a 12.3@110 With the car weighing in at 2200lbs with driver and
a 12.4@109 with the car weighing in at 2260lbs with me driving.....yes I'm heavy(lol)
Both passes had 1.7 60fts, next upgrade will be suspension.....the car has a lot of sag in the rear.
It's to bad we showed up late today and could not compete in the Street power class@CMI, but we still had some fun!
Congrats to everyone @CMI today, Sinister did another great job of taking home the win for the all-motor class
Congrats to Dave for taking the win in Street power
Congrats to Ricky for quick8
hope everyone had a great time

The motor is in the DA at the moment and we will be switching it to the civic chassis, we will be going with a new set up in the DA very soon!!!

another question is how you got a "street" car DA to weigh in at 2200lbs with driver, cause i have one and i'd really like to know how because to be honest i can't see how street it would be at that weight considering they weigh usually 2500lbs+ depending on the model

don't worry, everyone always ask how we did it..........we will start with the outside....
The hood is CF as well as the rear hatch, but the glass is still in it.
its an RS so there is no sunroof or reinforcement in the roof for it.
the inside......
There is no back seat, surprise, surprise.... and no back panels but there plastic and don't way much
It has a R1 front driver seat and a stock GSR seat for the passenger.....
Under the dash there is no heater core......I know, no heater...but you can still drive it on the street without a heater......the dash has been gutted of all things not needed including some supports....it still uses the stock gauge cluster for driver information..... it still has the carpet and center console.....I have an inside shot if needed......we cut some of the brackets in the back but nothing major.
when we weighed the car at CMI we used the digital scale.
We weighed it after taking the front Bogart's off and with 2 helmet's(we took turns driving so we left the helmets in the car) and over 3/4 tank of gas......
The car weighed in at 2050 no driver, 2200 with Oscar and 2260 with me.....on the new digital scale at CMI Sacramento raceway......
If you would like to see the car so you can do somethings to yours, just let me know and I'll make sure its at the shop.

To the Cali racers. Hopefully I'll be home for the Summer CMI's.

street power is all fwds that can run close to a 12.00 as possible without breaking out
turbo, nitrous, allmotor doesnt matter
but the class was originally built for all motor street cars but the rules changes for all street cars
