Default lightened flywheel worth doing

ive dyno'd my car at 174.4 whp and 152.2 wtq
i ran that dyno with everything factory except a dc 4-2-1, act stage 2
i have the h23 tranny on it and the h23 flywheel my best time at the track has been 15.21 at 93mph
i was wondering if a 8-12 pd flywheel or lightening of the h23 flywheel would help my 1/4mile considerable or hurt me because of the lose of tq?thx

My problem with it is the way it responds differently from oem flywheels in taht between shifts the rpms drop alot faster.

thats what would be a doubt from it cuz i shift between 74-7600 rpm and it drops to like 52-5500 so it might have a problem with dropping out of vtec

lol, it doesnt change the gearing, just the tach moves faster. It is just something to get used to. I prolly would of put the lightened fly wheel on when i put the new clutch in, now it is kinda too time consuming to do it now.

i never said it changes the gearing. I said that the rpms drop faster so it might fall out of vtec (5k)at a 74-7600rpm shift

Well no one has given me a definite answer on this question of mine so I'll just give you my op. I believe your h23 trans may be hurting your times. Thats the kind of trans I have and it seems to fall out of VTEC very easily.

I would deffinattely say you need a new tranny. I recomend the m2b4 it has LSD and excellent gear ratio. Keep that H23 tranny for if you ever decide too boost though cause then you MAY want the open ratio.

No there supposed to be low 15's. Yea its easy to get into the 14's. But he is running a tranny thats not geared like a h22 tranny. So his time is good for running a h23 tranny. With a h22 tranny he could easily be in the 14's.
Also i ran a 178.4 and 154.6 torque with my setup. Wich is a jdm h22 i have most bolt ons except a header this was with a flywheel. You will prob make something similar to me after the flywheel. And yes its worth it, but i would buy a h22 tranny first.
