strange sound...
I was driving around today and when i was taking one turn ( a right turn) I heard a bang that kinda sounded like my tire had popped but it wasnt that loud. It came from the front left of the engine. I then again noticed it making a left turn into a parking space. It doesnt seem like anything went wrong. My steering was fine and my car still went along so i cant seem to figure out the problem. Has anyone ever heard of this? Its on a 95 coupe.
Could it be a CV joint? An easy check is to take off the front left tire and take a good look at the rubber CV boot. If it's torn or loose, or if you see grease splattered around it, the joint that it is protecting may be compromised and need replacement.
Too bad you can't search for two letter keywords like CV or AC

I dont think it would be the CV joints those make a clicking sound when the wheel is turn at slow speeds. my car made a noise like someone was beating on the wheel when i let off the gas then it was very hard to turn the wheel when the car wasnt moving like the PS pump wasnt working i had the half shaft replaced and it fixed the problem it might be that
hmm ill have to take the wheel off and take a look tomorrow in the light. Luckly i havent heard it today but thats because the car wasnt out much.
