loud pop! oil drain plug popped out. put new one on and seems normal now. anyone know why or had this happen before

 

Prob just wasn't tightened to the right torque when last oil change was done, also make sure the OEM crush washer is in good condition, it's a good idea to put a new crush washer on every time they're cheap and are doing a critical job. Sounds like you were lucky ? my buddy lost his oil on the motorway like that and toasted his engine.
