best way to cut open oil filter????
I saw a specialty tool somewhere once that you put on your filter and rotate (???) and it cuts open your filter. I would just use a hacksaw though...or you can get a MOBIL 1 filter and check out the magnet in the bottom of it when you change your oil.
just google oil filter cutter and you'll find them. I'd say a hacksaw would work, but you're probably going to create a lot of metal shavings in the process. These things can be found fairly cheap, all the way to the high dollar ones.
