Default Strange Clicking/Fluttering/Tapping Sound... HELP!!!

Alright, I'm getting a weird sound from the engine which becomes noticeable after 3K rpms... It may make the sound below 3K, but it's not nearly as audible... It sounds kinda like a baseball card in bicycle spokes, and goes away promptly when the gas is released... The car doesn't seem to perform any differently, and drives like normal, but just that damn noise...

Axles are good, drivers side was replaced about two weeks ago... I've checked all the bolts on the manifold flange for my header, so I don't think it's an exhaust leak... I do get a brief squeal/whir at startup, could it be something with the alternator pulley going bad...? I'm going to try a valve adjustment tomorrow, and if that doesn't work I planned on taking off both the p/s and a/c belts to see if that eliminates the problem...

If neone has experienced symptoms like this and figured out the problem, your remedies are appreciated... I'm open to suggestions... TIA...

squeeling- could be that one of your belts are loose.

Yeah I think my alternator belt is slightly loose, but once the car is started it gains tension and is fine...
